IMDB reports here that Steven Spielberg is considering adapting Pirate Latitudes the final novel Michael Crichton wrote before he lost his battle to cancer last year.

I love pirates

I love Spielberg

I love Crichton

I think we have a winner.

I really feel like Spielberg and Crichton are a match made in Pop Culture heaven. Both are masters of the fluffy and yet not so fluffy entertainment. They both have unsuspected depth. Oh right and the last time they teamed up we got this:
